I bought my chappy in july 1996, now I have about 8000 km on the counter.  I never had problems with it. Top speed is about 45-50 km/h. Once I had a flat tire, I came from school and when I parked it for taking a delicious meal at my grandmothers house, the air was escaping from the rear tire.  Lucky for me it was only about 200 metres from my house. It was a nail stucking in the tire.
